Kollur Mookambika

Located 40 kilometers from Kundapur Town and around 140 km from Mangalore City in Karnataka is a little village known as Kollur or Kolluru. This town is well-known for the Mookambika temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site, and is located at the base of the Western Ghats.

This temple is visited by devotees from all over South India. Kollur is thought to be one of the seven pilgrimage sites that the Hindu deity Parashurama established. The Hindu goddess Parvathi, who is Shiva's wife, is honored in this temple. This is the only pilgrimage dedicated to the goddess Parvathi; the others, which were made by Parashurama, are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Subramanya, and Lord Ganesha.

Kukke Subramanya

In the western ghats, Kukke Subramanya is situated within the Subramanya hills. In the temple, the deity worshipped within is Lord Subramanya, shown as a cobra.

Before entering the temple to receive darshan, pilgrims must cross the Kumaradhara River and bathe in it holily. The worshippers approach the idol by coming into the courtyard from behind. In the space between the portico entry and the sanctuary is a silver-covered Garuda column. The pillar is said to have been charmed and placed there to protect the worshippers from the poison fires emanating from the breath of the inner Vasuki. Worshippers go around the pillar. The outer hall, inner hall, and Sri Subrahmanya's sanctuary are located beyond the pillar. There is a pedestal in the sanctuary's middle. The idol of Sri Subrahmanya is positioned on the upper dais, followed by the idol of Vasuki and, somewhat below, the idol of Shesha. There are daily devotions to these deities.

Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshethra

The Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple is only three kilometers from Mangalore's downtown. A manifestation of Lord Shiva, Lord Gokarnanatheshwara is the subject of the exquisite temple located at Kudroli. It is thought that during Tipu Sultan's reign, this area served as grazing land for horses. Thus, the term "Kudre" (horse) "vali," which eventually evolved into "kudroli."

In 1912, the social reformer and saint Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra was founded by his holiness Narayana Guru. The temple was refurbished in 1991 and is now in the Chola style. The previous temple construction was built in the Kerala style.

Kadri Manjunatheshwara

Situated atop the Kadri hills near Mangalore, the Kadri Manjunatha Temple is a renowned and historic temple. The temple was reportedly constructed in the tenth century and transformed into a fully stone building in the fourteenth century.

The nine-tank Kadri Manjunatha temple is situated at the base of Kadri's tallest hill in Mangalore.

Horanadu Annapoorneshwari

Horanadu is situated in the stunning Western Ghats region of Karnataka. Situated amidst dense forests and valleys, Horanadu is situated 100 kilometers to the southwest of Chikmagalur.

The ancient Goddess Annapoorneshwari temple at Horanadu has been repaired and renamed the Adi-Shaktyatmaka Shree Annapoorneshwari. Horanadu is a site with wonderful natural landscape.
